The Perils of using an un licensed driver or taxi

All drivers who take  money for a journey must be licensed

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS

 

Taxis that operate illegally are not monitored by or answerable to anyone, therefore there are no guarantees for passenger safety. Unlike licensed taxis, illegal taxis may not be roadworthy and people travelling in one would not be insured in the event of an accident. Many advertise on the web with cheap airport transfer prices

 

In London alone, recent statistics show that 11 women are attacked each month after taking an unlicensed taxi.
80% of stranger rapes are committed by unlicensed cab drivers.

 

Many people  just want to get home or are too tired  to check to see if their driver or car is properly licensed and may not realise that their life is in the drivers hands keep safe check your transport in advance

Book in advance with a company you know

 

Check they are a licensed operator

 

Look for the Hire license plate on the vehicle

 

Ask to see the drives hire license

 

If in doubt

Don’t risk your future take another  cab or public transport

 

Help make yor journey safer

 

If the police are around report the driver to them

 

or

 

take the car registration number and report it to the police or local authority
